I recently purchased a MSI GT70 20D-019US Laptop after previously having a Toshiba Qosmio X875-Q7290. The Qosmio's sound was very good, other than that nothing but BSODs from day 1. Anyway, I have read that the Dynaudio is supposed to sound very good. Mine sounds crappy and I have to turn the volume up to 53 to even make it semi loud. My Qosmio at 53 would be blasting.

Are there any drivers or something else that I'm missing that is effecting the quality & volume of my sound? I installed whatever came with my computer, upgraded to windows 8.1, and ran all (At least I think all) of the required updates from Window automatic updates. Somehow, I think I might have the wrong driver as my Qosmio did the same thing when it went in for repairs and the shop replaced my hard drive. The shop downloaded all the drivers but the sound was crappy. I called Toshiba and they directed me to the correct driver which restored my sound. I wonder if this might be the issue I'm having. For the price of this laptop the sound should be killer, right now its horrible.Any suggestion would be aappreciated.

I really like the MSI other than the sound.
