I have a Garmin Nuvi, which they don't make any more, which I got for around $200. Rhino Safaris, at Rhino House in, sell a good selection of Garmin GPS's and I believe that Garmin are coming to Galleria mall fairly soon. Titan Aviation at can update the software when required, on one of these devices, as it's a bit tricky to get East Africa maps from the internet; last I checked, the Garmin site did not have them. Not legal, not good - don't do it. The Tracks4Africa GPS maps are reasonable in cost (compared to garmap.co.za) but have a different focus. T4A maps best for rural areas, national Parks, and bundu bashing. You can see their entire map online at their site listed in a previous post. For example, every track in is there and routable. But most roads in South C are completely missing. Garmaps are better for cities, but the new release (1st quarter 2012) does not have all the new roads, flyovers and bypasses.
